About Calvin
"Technical clarity defines my 13 years of teaching guitar to students. I hold a BMus Guitar Performance degree from the University of Canterbury. My background includes mastering acoustic technique and electric technique alongside reading tabs and tuning and maintenance.
I often find that songwriting or grade exam prep requires specific strumming patterns. My approach ensures students develop solid technique over time. I have guided many individuals through these musical challenges during my long career. There is much to cover when we begin."

We focus on clear goals between sessions. Tuning and maintenance are prioritized early on.
