About Katherine
You sit down, pick up the guitar, and we begin. Working professionals often start with basic power chords. Kids usually prefer learning their favorite songs using simple tabs. My 13 years of experience helps me simplify complex theory.
I provide custom backing tracks so students can practice soloing at home. This allows you to explore scales independently. Grading exam candidates get specific support for their tests. Practice is simple.

Playing guitar involves more than just hitting the right notes. My background includes a BM Music Education degree and 13 years of teaching.
I have guided 305 students including grade exam candidates and intermediate learners. We explore scales and modes alongside strumming patterns.
Power chords often feature in our early sessions. Tuning and maintenance are vital parts of the process. I even enjoy teaching songwriting to those who want to create. You will find my approach very steady.
