About Shelly
"Teaching helps me refine how I communicate complex musical ideas through the fretboard. Students often find that playing by ear is surprisingly reachable when they stop overthinking the technical aspects. My BMus Guitar Performance from the University of Canterbury informs the ear training, music theory, and reading tabs I teach today.
I have spent 13 years helping students manage electric technique, improvisation, and barre chords. Building clear goals between lessons keeps practice purposeful and focused. Confidence arrives when technique is consistent."

My 10.0 minute breakdown of your playing style ensures we start with accurate feedback. Goal setting is prioritized to maintain momentum throughout our time together. I offer a free trial session to assess starting levels for every student. Proper foundations lead to meaningful progress later on."
