"Improvisation and soloing represent the most exciting parts of the guitar journey. Honestly, strumming patterns often feel more natural once you grasp basic rhythm guitar theory.
My MMus Vocal Studies from the Royal Academy of Music provides a unique perspective on phrasing that I apply to fretboard logic. I help students navigate grade exam prep and electric technique with ease.
I find songwriting is the best way to synthesise these disparate skills into a coherent musical voice. After 13 years of performing with the BBC Symphony Orchestra, I treat the guitar with the same technical rigour as my voice. I look forward to working with you on your musical path."

"Rhythm is everything. My lessons feel like a collaborative jam session where we troubleshoot your technique in real time. We will address your specific goals regarding electric technique or songwriting. My MMus degree informs how I approach rhythm guitar and complex improvisation.
