About Bristol
I hold a Bachelor of Music in Guitar Performance and a Master of Music in Guitar Pedagogy, with 6 years of experience teaching guitar to students of all ages. My teaching philosophy focuses on developing both technical skills and expressive ability, creating lessons that are tailored to each student’s level, pace, and musical interests. I aim to create a supportive environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and confidence in playing.
Lessons progress from foundational techniques and simple repertoire for beginners to advanced techniques, improvisation, and performance readiness for skilled learners. Feedback, structured exercises, and motivation are incorporated into every session to ensure steady improvement and musical growth.
Outside teaching, I perform, study new musical styles, and explore innovative guitar techniques to enrich my lessons. Witnessing students progress from hesitant beginners to confident, expressive guitarists is incredibly rewarding. My goal is to foster technical mastery, musical expression, and a lifelong love of the guitar.

I focus on finger placement, chord transitions, strumming, picking, scales, improvisation, and song interpretation while maintaining a friendly and encouraging environment. Lessons include structured exercises and pieces to strengthen technique while nurturing musical expression and self-confidence. Each student receives guidance tailored to their skill level, enabling steady growth and consistent improvement.
Beginners start with proper hand positioning, basic chords, strumming patterns, and simple songs to build foundational skills. Intermediate students develop fingerstyle techniques, scales, chord progressions, and song interpretation. Advanced learners focus on complex techniques, improvisation, performance preparation, and stylistic nuance. Feedback, practice strategies, and motivation are provided throughout to ensure continuous progress.
Learning guitar builds patience, creativity, and self-expression. Students develop confidence, musicality, and the ability to perform solo or in ensembles. My goal is to help learners enjoy playing, develop technical skill, and gain confidence in their musical abilities while fostering a lifelong passion for the instrument.
