About Blaise
My passion for guitar began with exploring melodies and rhythm as a young student, which led me to pursue a B.Mus in Guitar Performance and an M.M in Contemporary Music. Over 10 years, I have taught students across skill levels, helping them develop technique, creativity, and musical confidence. My approach combines structured guidance with encouragement, fostering a supportive learning environment. I emphasize patient instruction, clear demonstration, and individualized exercises that match each student’s pace. Lessons integrate technical practice with creative exploration, ensuring learners not only improve but also enjoy music-making. My teaching focuses on building both competence and personal expression. Outside the studio, I perform, compose, and explore new musical genres to enrich my teaching. Watching students grow in skill, confidence, and musicality is deeply rewarding, and I take pride in helping learners find their unique voice on the guitar.

Learning guitar becomes exciting when students combine technical precision with creative exploration. I emphasize gradual progress, helping students gain confidence while exploring different genres, including acoustic, rock, jazz, and classical styles. Every session balances practical skill-building with opportunities for personal expression, ensuring lessons are both educational and enjoyable.
Beginners concentrate on foundational skills, including finger placement, basic chords, simple melodies, and rhythm exercises. Intermediate learners develop improvisation techniques, advanced chord voicings, fretboard navigation, and stylistic interpretation. Advanced students focus on performance readiness, tone refinement, composition, and expressive phrasing. Lessons are personalized to the student’s level, providing guidance, feedback, and targeted exercises for steady growth.
The goal of my guitar lessons is to cultivate confident, expressive musicians who can perform, compose, and enjoy playing. Students gain not only technical skills but also creativity, stage presence, and a deeper understanding of music.
