About Alaina
I have 7 years of experience teaching guitar to learners across various ages and skill levels. I hold a B.Mus in Contemporary Guitar and Jazz Performance, giving me expertise in technique, improvisation, music theory, and performance practices. My teaching philosophy emphasises developing technical skill while nurturing creativity, helping students cultivate their individual musical voices.
In lessons, I incorporate chord exercises, scales, improvisation, ensemble work, repertoire study, and performance coaching. Each session is adapted to the student’s level, goals, and musical interests, ensuring a supportive and motivating learning experience.
Outside teaching, I perform regularly, explore contemporary styles, and study advanced techniques to enrich lessons with real-world insights.
