About Avery
Stiff fingers often prevent guitarists from finding a natural flow. Beginners face many physical challenges. I draw upon 13 years of experience to identify these tension points early.
My lessons incorporate fingerpicking and lead guitar skills. We also work on specific strumming patterns and scales and modes. Song requests are turned into simplified arrangements for your convenience.
I have taught 346 students to date. Progress happens through consistent, structured practice.

Music captured my attention when I first sat with an acoustic instrument as a child. I admit that I struggled with barre chords for quite some time. Now, I help adults and absolute beginners navigate these same hurdles.
My studio in Edmonton welcomes intermediate learners and hobbyists alike. I emphasize music theory and reading sheet music alongside practical playing. Reading tabs and chord transitions are essential parts of my curriculum. I hope to help you find your voice as a musician through my role as a choral singer.
