About Holly
I am a guitar tutor with 6 years of experience and a Master of Music in Guitar Performance. My journey with guitar started with curiosity and grew into a passion for teaching. Over time, I developed a structured approach to help beginners and intermediate learners.
My teaching style is simple, patient, and practical. I focus on building strong foundations before introducing advanced techniques. I adapt lessons based on each student’s learning speed. I also encourage regular practice for steady improvement.
Outside teaching, I continue exploring different music styles and improving my skills. This keeps my teaching fresh and connected to real practice. My goal is to help students enjoy guitar and grow into confident musicians.

My guitar lessons begin with basic posture and hand positioning. I help students understand how to hold the guitar comfortably. Simple chords and strumming patterns are introduced step by step. I guide learners to switch chords slowly and cleanly. Rhythm exercises are used to build timing accuracy. Students practice with easy songs to build motivation. This helps them develop early confidence.
As students progress, I introduce scales, finger exercises, and song practice. Each lesson is structured to improve coordination and musical understanding. I guide students in listening carefully to rhythm and tone. Mistakes are corrected gently to keep learning positive. Practice is divided into small sections for better progress. Students also learn how to practice effectively at home. This builds consistency and discipline.
Advanced learners focus on solo techniques, expression, and musical creativity. I guide them in tone shaping, vibrato, and performance skills. My goal is to help students play with confidence and individuality.
