About Sean
Technical foundations like tone production, vibrato, and rhythm and timing are where we start, because playing with ease is so important. Through 13 years of teaching, I have guided countless students towards ABRSM and Trinity grade exams while focusing on sight reading and double stops. Classical repertoire provides the core of my work, yet I always ensure students feel confident in their ability to tune by ear. Since 13 years have passed since I started, I have seen so many individuals find their voice, and I truly enjoy being part of that growth.

Providing recorded playback of tricky passages for home practice is just one way I help you navigate those difficult technical hurdles. During our time together, we focus on the nuances of your repertoire and the mechanics of the bow, drawing on my BMus Music Performance background to ensure your technique remains sound. Because I have 13 years of experience, I can identify exactly where you are and provide the specific scaffolding you require to succeed.
