About Tanya
I bring over 5 years of teaching experience along with my MSc Radiochemistry to help students understand the chemistry behind food and health. My passion lies in explaining macromolecules and how they influence nutrition. I teach topics like food additives, preservatives, and colorants in ways that feel easy to understand. Students learn how metabolic reactions break down food into essential energy. I use food product development tasks to spark creativity and critical thinking. Cooking-based experiments are one of my favorite tools because they show chemistry in action. These hands-on activities help students make meaningful connections. I encourage learners to explore ingredient lists and identify chemical compounds. My teaching approach is clear, patient, and supportive. My teaching approach in Chemistry is built on clarity, structure, and practical understanding. I guide students through stoichiometry, chemical reactions, and balancing equations using simple steps they can follow with confidence. Every lesson includes worked examples that show how chemical ideas connect to real processes. I also introduce reaction kinetics through easy explanations that help students understand how reactions speed up or slow down. My sessions use a mix of diagrams, short notes, and hands-on practice. I support both the Cell Explorer and the Biotech Dreamer with patience and focused guidance. Each student receives targeted help to strengthen weak areas. I make sure calculations feel manageable and not overwhelming. My approach also includes exercises that train accuracy and logical thinking. I help learners connect chemical patterns to larger scientific ideas. Together, we build a strong sense of how substances change and interact. My goal is to support every student in reaching excellence.
