About Asad
I am a Research Scientist and PhD Candidate specializing in the thermal performance of advanced materials.
With a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, my daily life involves using high-level mathematics, physics, and programming to solve real-world problems.
Over the past year, I have balanced my research with freelance tutoring, helping students navigate the complexities of STEM with a practical, professional edge.
- Expertise: Deep technical background in Engineering, Materials Science, and Quantitative Analysis.
- Experience: 1 year of dedicated freelance tutoring across NZ curricula (NCEA, CIE, IB, and University).
- Technical Focus: Professional proficiency in Python, R, SolidWorks, and Algorithmic logic.
Why I Teach?
Because I love Teaching.
My goal is to help you "Grow Like a Pro" by shifting the focus from memorizing formulas to understanding the "why" behind the logic. I teach because I believe that complex subjects like Physics and Statistics shouldn't be barriers to your career—they should be the tools that build it.
- Bridging the Gap: I connect abstract classroom theories to actual engineering and research applications.
- Building Logical Foundations: I help students develop "algorithmic thinking"—the ability to break any massive problem into small, solvable steps.
- Empowering Independence: I don’t just provide answers; I provide the mental frameworks you need to tackle unfamiliar exam questions with confidence.
- Student Success: I am passionate about seeing students transition from struggling with basics to mastering Excellence-level concepts.

I know Asad Ur Rehman for almost 8 years now. He was an excellent peer, while we were studying our Masters in Thermal Power Engineering at UET Lahore. He performed exceptionally during his post graduation studies, while Thermodynamics was his major. He has got extensive experience teaching Mechanical Engineering in general and Thermodynamics in particular. I strongly recommend him to anyone as a Thermodynamics mentor and teacher.
Highly capable professional. Prepares lectures in interactive style
