-Basic subdivisions, Use of the metronome and the small ways to help keep time on the kit
- Your first grooves. The basic beats and smaller variations.
- The "Half-time/Double-time Theory" and why understanding this is crucial to your musical progression, especially in regards to contemporary playing.
-Introductions to fills, why they exists, and when to use them
-Introductions to rudiments, what they are, why we use them and ways to apply them.

-Ways of using the
-Why you should focus on grooves over fills and chops.

I always approach with the students needs in mind. I take as many steps necessary to ensure that the lessons are as fun, safe, and as productive as possible.
With my upbringing on black musical styles such as funk, Reggae and Soul, I heavily emphasize the importance of having the right feel of any genre, and how every technique learned should be to complement the grooves as opposed to being a mere add-on.
