About Eve
I am a graduating high school student with a passion for education and helping others learn in a way that works best for them. Although I don't have direct teaching experience, I do have a lot of experience within childcare. I've babysat and worked as a camp counselor for the last 5 years, so I am well equipped to help students grapple and calm down when things get frustrating.

Having completed advanced math courses like Calculus and Statistics within high school, I understand how challenging and frustrating learning math can be. My goal is to help students learn in a way that is adapted to them so that they can learn in a way that works for them. With that in mind, I like to plan lessons in a way that encourages students to explore through exploration and follow up with instruction until full understanding is reached. To adapt to students, I try to take notes on which lesson style is or isn't working for them. From that, I adapt future lessons to fit them better. Although I don't have direct teaching experience, I do have a lot of experience within childcare. I've babysat and worked as a camp counselor for the last 5 years, so I am well equipped to help students grapple and calm down when things get frustrating. The biggest thing is being a student myself, I try to take my own positive learning experiences as direction for my tutoring lessons.
