About Valerio

I graduated with honors in Philology at the University of Rome La Sapienza. The subjects of my bechelor and master thesis were respectively classical Latin and medieval Latin. I worked as an after-school teacher until the closure of the school facilities due to the covid19 emergency with middle and high school students. Thanks to the experience gained in class with the students I am able to perfectly manage any group lessons. I have two computer licenses and I am therefore able to apply the right methodology for the proper deployment of online lessons. I have been teaching Latin privately for years, even to university students, and I always guarantee the highest level of seriousness.

About the lesson

I generally ask, before meeting with the students for the first lesson, the sources from which they study in order to find out about the structure of the course they attend. Once I have identified the key topics of the course and the methodology of exercise, I agree with the students on the type of course they want to do, focusing on theory, practice or both sides depending on their preferences (although I reserve the right to highlight what I believe are the gaps to be filled I believe that the student/parent has the right to the last word on the topics to be addressed).

I can accept to give repetitions of any subject related to the humanistic and literary field. Thanks to the skills achieved during the academic course I am able to teach lessons in Latin, Greek, Italian (literature and grammar) history and philosophy to high school students every year. For university students I reserve my most specialized skills by offering private lessons in Italian, history and Latin, the latter subject of both the three-year thesis and the master's thesis.

First hour of free lesson.
I ask a surcharge of 5 euros for trips of 10km or more.
