About Jodi
I have over twenty years of teaching experience. I have spent most of my time working with students ages 7-18. Although I have also taught adult vocal and guitar lessons. My most famous vocal technique is the art of speaking on pitch to expand the vocal range and strengthen the head voice. Breath support is the key to having an expressive and powerful vocal performance. The combination of ear training and sight reading are most vital in becoming a well-rounded musician. I also feel it is important to be able to accompany oneself such as on a stringed instrument like the guitar or ukulele or even simple piano chords.

I have worked with students helping them prepare for college auditions, musical stage productions, church worship and I even coached a young gentleman who made it through the first few rounds on American Idol.
