I love reading! I think sinking into a good book and getting lost in its world is one of the best feelings in the world. My lessons would be 45 minutes long, or longer if extra help is needed. I use practice questions and focus heavily on pushing the children to complete questions themselves with my guidance, rather than holding their hands. I like to see where their strengths lie and then work from there, seeing where they are strong and/or need to improve. I would recommend older students read extracts from classic texts as often as they can, as reading is the best way to expand the mind. I have tutored amongst family, and have experience working in primary and secondary schools.
