I have extensive education and professional working experience both in writing, using international English, and ensuring compliance in accessibility standards. I firmly believe the key to successful writing is building the preliminary critical thinking skills, reading habits, utilizing resources, and creating successful study habits so you get more out of your study time. I have been doing various forms of tutoring, training, and coaching for the better part of 10 years, and I use this experience to modify my teaching approach to the student’s learning style.

Whether it’s learning the basics of grammar, how to read literature for critical analysis, or improving your essay writing and structure, we focus first on the foundational skills for research and strong writing before learning how to add a flourish. I have extensive experience in research, annotated bibliographies, and examining a variety of classic, modern, and nonfiction literature. We will focus primarily on MLA-style essays, but I can also support APA-style assignments if needed. This includes how to actively read text, planning and outline techniques for successful writing, and how to properly include and cite your sources.
