About Billy
I lecture maths and ICT at Barking and Dagenham College, and I have been teaching in education since 2018 and I am in the process of completing my Level 5 DET in Education and Training. I like teaching, tutoring and generally sharing my knowledge with learners of all ages. I make lessons interesting and inspiring by including references to real-life cases at times and I use all sorts of teaching methods and aids to meet a learner's needs and enhance the learner's ability to learn.

I tutor maths and IT subjects (programming and web development technologies such as Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript) both online and in-person. I tailor and adjust my teaching to include resources and use methods that are suited to each and every individual's learning needs. For example, I can use visual aids and practical demos to assist beginners but simple PowerPoint presentations for more advanced learners. My lessons range from 45-minutes, 1-hour, 1.5-hours or even 2-hour lesson or longer (as per the learner's request). I have a BSc degree in maths and computer science (City University, London) and a postgraduate certificate in maths (Birkbeck University, London). I tutor maths and IT subjects ranging from entry and functional skills to GCSE, A-level and undergraduate level in maths, and GCSE, A-level as well as some undergraduate level in IT subjects.
