About Lex
I am a Dutch graduated Vwo (high school) student with a 7+/10 in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry with an originally quite laid-back attitude towards self-study. Despite this outlook, I have mainly devoted my time to helping fellow students at my school with various subjects. For example, I have been a tutor from the first through fourth graders (in the Dutch school system) and also a functioned as a student mentor. Although my expertise lies with science subjects, I also gained experience as a Dutch and English tutor. Moreover, I also have an affinity with English poetry, since I write prose myself. Within my student association, I also have a one-man committee called the "Dyslexia" (a triple play on words in Dutch with my name in it), in which I check official documents for spelling and grammar.

Everyone learns differently; I try to estimate what works best for you, explaining it like a regular lesson or making you work through it individually with some guidance, I adapt to your need!

Ik heb al een aantal keer les in natuurkunde van lex plantenga gehad en ik ben niks anders dan super tevreden! Hij legt alles duidelijk uit, motiveert je om vragen te stellen, is super flexibel met de bijlesuren, hij neemt de tijd en heeft veel geduld. Ookal moet hij het misschien 10x uitleggen tot je het snapt, blijft hij toch erg vriendelijk en kalm en ik voel me daarom erg op mijn gemak bij hem, en hij gebruikt in zijn uitleg voorbeelden waardoor het kwartje sneller begint te vallen en ik ben daardoor veel gemotiveerder om de stof tot me te nemen. Mijn natuurkunde cijfers zijn aanzienlijk verbeterd sinds hij mij onder zijn hoede heeft genomen. Ik begin natuurkunde zelfs leuk te vinden! Ik geef hem een dikke 10/10 en ik raad hem zeker aan.
Lex kan geweldig uitleg geven en ik heb zo voor mijn natuurkunde toets een veel hoger cijfer dan normaal gehad. 1 op 1 leer ik beter dan in klassikale lessen, dus zo heb ik het met Lex ook een stuk sneller opgestoken!
