About Vi
I'm currently in my final year at medical school, having taken a year out to achieve a Distinction in my Master's in Immunology of Infectious Diseases at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. I'm particularly passionate about teaching biology and immunology - I'm currently President of my university's Immunology and Infectious Diseases society.
I also enjoy teaching essay writing and science communication - I consistently achieved 100% in my written assignments during my MSc, with my professors using my work as an example of what ideal pieces should look like for other students.

I am a current final year medical student at King's College London. I teach 40 minute Maths and Biology lessons to students from primary school up to GCSE level.
My goal is always to show my students that they are capable of finding the answers themselves, and to give them the tools to do so. My teaching approach is to begin by identifying weaker areas, then build those concepts by helping students to visualise them.
I often find that students' ability to apply their textbook knowledge to new scenarios improves when they are familiar with the topic and have experience discussing the concepts' applicability in the real world, beyond the textbook. This is where I make the biggest impact to their grades, as well as their confidence and interest in the subject.
My typical lesson opens with a short refresher of previous topics, followed by working through topic content, and finishing with questions or discussion to practice application of knowledge.
I'm also happy to read and advise on medical personal statements and provide interview prep. I myself was invited to interview at all the universities I applied to, and received offers from both my top choices.
