About John
I was an English teacher for 40 years. I was good at it, and I miss it. This is a way for me to put my hand back in. I am not a taskmaster, believing in the honey/vinegar idea. There is nothing more rewarding than watching students improve.

Look at the assignment, get a writing sample, then gently shepherd the student through the assignment. I use the Socratic Method in my teaching. Students are often afraid of writing, so I take the sting out. I teach them to be self-editors.
