About Garrik
In middle school and high school, I HATED science. I was so bad at it, and the concepts were so difficult for me. After getting to college, i realized that my approach to science was all off. I was trying to memorize enough to pass tests, and i missed the excitement that comes from problem solving and thinking critically about the ways the world works.With my new found excitement about science, I decided to become a science teacher in an attempt to inspire wonder in my students. My goal as your tutor is to help you allow the curiosity within you to drive your learning.

My lessons are highly individualized and are designed to help you make sense of complex concepts in a way that that is straightforward and broken down. Science is explorative and exciting and I want to help my students feel capable of working through their questions while engaging their curiosity, and helping them find meaning behind what they are learning, whether they are naturally excited about it or not.
