About Lauren
Throughout my higher education, I have worked as a teaching assistant for multiple introductory biology courses to more advanced courses. I have also mentored students in a laboratory setting. I have always had a passion for teaching and helping others. I find it fulfilling to help someone learn a new concept or skill! Because I initially struggled with science classes in grade and high school, I understand the difficulty of these subjects and how to master them!

I offer lessons from grade school level to graduate school level biology. I work with you based on what you are learning. From my experience in school, performing well comes from a deep understanding of the material (not just memorization). That is why I work with students and challenge their knowledge by asking questions to get an idea of how much they know and what their learning style is. I help by explaining and clarifying concepts that they do not understand using analogies and examples that are familiar and easier to grasp. I also find it helpful to rewrite and draw concepts out (for visual learns).
