About Payton
I am currently an English teacher in Spain, where I help students aged 8-13 master their English skills in both English and Science classes. I also have advanced knowledge of Spanish, which allows me to support native Spanish speakers, even those with little to no knowledge of English. I live in Iowa and love going on new adventures! My lessons are open to students of all ages. I specialize in helping younger students with all subjects in English as a foreign language, and I also assist adults in mastering English fluency. I use a variety of activities—including listening exercises, reading comprehension tasks, and interactive conversations—to create a well-rounded understanding of the language. While I am conversationally fluent in Spanish, I can support learners from any language background and skill level. I believe that a strong foundation in the grammar and mechanics of one's native language is essential for understanding a second language. This makes it easier to draw comparisons and understand the differences between languages.
