About Sabrina

I am passionate about teaching Italian culture to foreigners for several fascinating reasons.

First, Italy is a country rich in unique history, art and traditions. Sharing these aspects with foreigners gives me the opportunity to introduce them to the extraordinary cultural heritage that Italy has to offer. From ancient Roman ruins to magnificent Renaissance masterpieces, every corner of the country tells a fascinating story. Neapolitan culture, in particular, is a fusion of emotions, melodies and tastes that capture the soul of anyone who comes into contact with it.

Furthermore, teaching Italian culture allows me to create a bridge between people from different parts of the world. By sharing Italian customs, festivities, cuisine and ways of living, bonds of mutual understanding and respect are created. This cultural exchange enriches the lives of foreigners, providing them with a broader perspective of the world and opening doors to new experiences.

Teaching Italian culture to foreigners also gives me the opportunity to disprove stereotypes and prejudices. Italy is often associated with superficial clichés, such as pizza and mafia, but there is much more to discover. I show foreigners the true essence of Italy, its welcoming spirit, passion for art, the liveliness of the squares and love for good food. Through culture, I can help create a more authentic and in-depth view of Italy and its people.

Finally, teaching Italian culture allows me to preserve its heritage. Culture is a fundamental part of a people's identity and must be passed on to future generations. By teaching Italian culture to foreigners, I contribute to keeping the tradition alive and to preserving the cultural heritage for the future.

In summary, teaching Italian culture to foreigners is a passion that allows me to share the beauty, history and traditions of a country that I deeply love. It's a way to make connections, debunk stereotypes and preserve Italy's cultural heritage for generations to come. I am grateful to be able to pass this passion on to others and to see my students' eyes light up with joy and wonder as they explore all that Italy has to offer.

About the lesson

My method consists in immersing the language by taking into consideration the student's interests, turning them into study material, while teaching them the cultural aspects of the language, with literary, geographical or historical notions where deemed important. For those interested, my course also includes some aspects of Neapolitan culture.
