About Cameron
My name is Cameron McDonald, and I believe in you. The most thrilling aspect of being a tutor is the opportunity to help someone who wants to learn. As an undergraduate student, I worked as a tutor and completed roughly 200 tutorials in two years. These ranged from 1 on 1 conversations to lessons with up to five people. I am responsible, respectful, and so excited to help you learn more in the tutoring sessions we will have together. You can count on me to try my best in order for you to be at your best.

My teaching method and techniques vary depending on the tutee. I am flexible and can find multiple approaches to discussing the same topics. For example, I can happily teach for auditory, visual, or even kinesthetic learners if the lesson calls for it.
A typical lesson plan (in seven steps):
First, I prepare for the lesson using the details you give me.
Second, we say hello at the start of the session and talk about your day.
Third, I ask about you about your thoughts on the subject.
Fourth, we go into further detail on what I discovered while preparing for the lesson and combine that with the questions you first had when thinking about the lesson's topic.
Fifth, we work as a team through me asking the right questions and you finding the best solutions.
Sixth, we recap the lesson's accomplishments and discuss which topics should be focused on in the next session, if applicable.
Seventh, and finally, I wish you a great day!
What sets me apart as a tutor is I care deeply for those I tutor and want them to succeed as much as possible. It gives me great joy to be able to help as little or as much as I possibly can!
The lessons are for anyone who may need assistance with any English-related topic, especially those outlined in my profile. I am great at working with elementary to high school aged individuals and am more than happy working with adults as well. I have previously tutored at a college for multiple years.
