About Kingston
I am a university graduate who majors in Philosophy. That being said, I have a great interest in classical text and literature, and I want to show people how to appreciate and understand those texts. My previous students consisted mainly of migrants who were new to an English-speaking country, and I helped them merge in as well as to appreciate English literature.

I believe that tutoring is not only about passing exams. I want to engage in lively discussions with my students, where we read through certain classical texts and speak out about our opinions. A typical lesson would last either 1 or 2 hours. The content of the lesson could be tailored according to the student's needs; but in the long term, I hope that I am able to read through a text/article/poem with the student, perhaps a book that the student has read; and we discuss our opinions on the piece. Afterwards I hope that the student writes a short essay about his or her opinion on the subject. My lessons are suited for students at Year 7 and above.
