In my lessons, I focus on creating an inclusive, engaging, and supportive learning environment. I plan lessons with clear learning objectives. My lessons often incorporate real-world contexts to make learning meaningful—whether through creative writing, storytelling, or exploring texts that connect with students’ lives and cultures. I also prioritize student voice and choice, and regularly use formative assessment to guide my teaching and provide targeted support. Differentiation is a key part of my planning, especially when working with students who have learning or communication needs. Overall, I aim to build students’ confidence, communication skills, and love for literacy.
