About Collin
I'm a graduate of Northeastern University with a degree in Industrial Engineering, with a strong foundation in calculus, statistics, linear algebra, and physics. I have experience working as a college-level teaching assistant and tutor, which has given me practice breaking down complex topics.
What draws me to tutoring is the moment a difficult topic finally clicks for someone. I'm patient, organized, and genuinely enjoy explaining ideas in different ways until they make sense. Tutoring is also a learning opportunity for me, as I get to understand and learn the different ways to approach problem-solving.

My lesson plans are structured around clear explanations, structured practice, and repetition. As a graduate from Northeastern University, I'm comfortable teaching with everything from middle school algebra and geometry to high school calculus, stats, and physics, as well as introductory college-level math.
A typical lesson starts with a quick check on what you've covered in class or on recent homework, followed by a focused walkthrough of all concepts with a focus on topics that lead to confusion. We then work through problems together and finish with a few practice questions to confirm the idea has stuck.
