About Irene
I am a language teacher with professionalism, and I aim to provide high quality teaching to support my students. I believe that learning a language is the stepping stone to seeing a different world, because we all need language for communication. I have been teaching Mandarin in Brisbane for four years. Currently, I teach weekly at a community college. Last year I completed my Educational Master’s degree through the Queensland University of Technology. I am also currently undertaking a Master’s of Teaching (Chinese as a foreign language) through National Taiwan Normal University. Prior to, and during the pandemic, I also taught language programs at John Paul and St Lawrence college. I love coaching students to be confident when they speak in a foreign language.

Online Mandarin lessons or Face-to-Face classes for adults and children. Every language learning experience takes time. Keep consistency to maximize the exposure of target language is the key method. It can be easier such as you could not swim but you took surfing lessons. I love coaching students to be confident when they speak in a foreign language. I believe that the impossible is possible, and that the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Let’s start learning Mandarin!
