About Timo
I am 56 years old now and have witnessed some of the students I taught returning back to Tokelau with qualifications and are recognized in our community as leaders as the saying goes "children are the future of a nation". I have always made myself available to students during school hours and after school hours if the needed assistance with their homework or a concept they did not understand. For two years I organized and run some math program during lunch hours for anyone who is interested, and it was open for students from Year 9 to Year 11. The focus was to boost their basic skill and basic algebra linking to advance algebra.

I am currently in Australia now but been teaching in Atafu Tokelau for 12 years. I have been teaching math for the last 12 years from year 9 to year 11. Last year had the opportunity to teach NCEA level 2 prior to that had the opportunity to teach Prelim and Foundation under the USP education system. Prelim is equivalent to the Year 12 and Foundation is equivalent to Year 13. The NCEA program that operates in Tokelau is under Te Kura. This is an online program, and the resources are made available to us from Te Kura. I have high expectation of my students, and my goal is to guide and support students to reach their full potential.
