About Diva

My name is Diva Trivedi, I am 25 years old and I have recently moved to Sydney from the US. I teach because I genuinely enjoy seeing that "aha!" moment when a student grasps a difficult concept. Guiding young minds to develop critical thinking skills and a love for discovery is incredibly rewarding. My Tutoring Approach: I'm a Science graduate from the University of Houston (TLIM), specializing in Math, Statistics, and Science for 1st-8th graders. My teaching focuses on building strong foundations, active problem-solving, and making learning relevant. Techniques & Methodology I teach by: Building Concepts: Focusing on why concepts work, using real-world analogies (e.g., pizza for fractions). Interactive Problem-Solving: Guiding students step-by-step, asking questions to encourage self-discovery, not just giving answers. Real-World Connections: Linking math and science to daily life and future applications to boost engagement. Targeted Practice: Providing customized problems with immediate, constructive feedback to pinpoint strengths and areas for improvement. Adapting to Students: Adjusting my pace and methods based on individual learning styles and needs. Lesson Structure & Length Lessons are typically 60 minutes (1 hour), allowing time for review, new concepts, and practice. For younger students, I incorporate short breaks to maintain focus (No extra charge). Qualifications & Experience My Bachelor of Science in TLIM from the Cullen College of Engineering, University of Houston, provides a deep understanding of core STEM principles and a strong analytical mindset. This background helps me connect foundational concepts to their broader applications. I also have informal experience helping younger students with coursework.
