About Alexandra
I earned a bachelor's in Data Science from UC Berkeley in 2021. Within my major, I focused on the implications of data science on government and policy; as a result, I have extensive academic experience not only performing technical analysis, but also writing about a variety of technical and non-technical topics. While at UC Berkeley, I worked for the student newspaper, the Daily Californian.
After college, I spent a year teaching English and grammar to high school students in France. Upon returning to the U.S., I completed a Master's of Foreign Service at Georgetown University. I am currently tutoring while I take care of a family member.
In my free time, I like to read, swim, and, of course, write. I am part of a creative writing group and one of my favorite things to do is help my group members' -- and tutorees' -- writing express their voice.

I specialize in high school or college-level writing (although I do occasionally take middle-school students). I focus on making writing an enjoyable experience. My students learn how to structure paragraphs and essays in a way that they can apply to future assignments. I also teach strategies to proof reading essays and other texts in a way that is daunting and does not require extensive memorization.
As someone whose degrees bridge both non-technical and technical subjects, I am adept at making technical or scientific writing engaging. I also have experience helping students who prefer math or science appreciate writing and improve their skills.
