About Lucía

Hi my name is Lucia. I have a degree in English Studies from the Autonomous University of Madrid. This year I have completed the Master's Degree in Teacher Training in Secondary Education at the same university. I am currently looking to combine my future studies by giving private lessons, so if you are interested, do not hesitate to contact me!

My experience revolves around education and training:

· Private teacher giving English classes to primary and ESO students.
· Extracurricular English teacher for two years at a public school in the area.
· English teacher in an academy, mainly reinforcing English to students of all ages and preparing official exams (PET, FCE, CAE, university access for people over 25, EVAU, official exams at UNED...).

Throughout my professional career I have prepared a wide variety of official exams and I have managed to get practically all my students pass with very good results. Do you dare to try to pass?

In my classes I usually follow a more practical than theoretical method, since there is no better way to learn than visualizing, practicing and manipulating everything we learn. I consider that memorizing is not useful. For this reason, I usually prepare a detailed planning of what we will do in each of the sessions, in order to be able to cover all the contents while providing a practical approach to the content that we must cover. I also love working with dynamic activities, adapted to the class and the student; I give priority to the communicative approach; I use virtual platforms where I share extra materials that reinforce or expand what I have learned; I try to convey my passion for learning.

I am faithful to the quote "learning is a marathon, not a 'sprint'". Therefore, learning takes time, perseverance and desire. Start preparing yourself!

About the lesson

I offer private classes - individual or in groups - ONLINE mode for all levels.

Currently with a C1 level of English, I prepare students with different levels for official exams: PET, FCE, CAE, EOI, EVAU, access to university for people over 25 years of age, access to a higher degree... with very good results! !

Classes will be exclusively ONLINE (via Skype, Zoom or Meet). If you do not have your own material, the material will be shared and adapted to this modality. In addition, the student will have access to a virtual classroom/platform where they will find extra materials to reinforce or expand what they have learned in the online sessions. Throughout this platform, the student will keep track of their learning and will be able to receive feedback. However, the lessons will be adapted to the needs and preferences of the student at all times.

My classes usually adapt to the communicative approach - unless the student decides; otherwise, everything will be taught in English -. The student will receive material adapted to their level from moment 0 and all the activities carried out will be relevant to the content. I hope I could leave you with a good taste in your mouth from minute 1!
