About Gobind
I believe education is one of the most valuable tools a person can have. There is a reason that, despite already being employed, I have chosen to pursue a Master’s degree—the opportunities and personal growth that come from learning are virtually limitless.
My motivation for tutoring comes from my own experience as a student. When I was at school, mathematics was one of my least favourite subjects. However, this was not because I lacked ability or interest; it was largely due to the way the subject was taught. Once I began working with a tutor whose teaching style suited me better, my understanding and confidence grew significantly, and mathematics quickly became one of my favourite subjects.
This experience showed me how much of a difference good teaching can make. Many students believe they are “bad” at a subject when, in reality, they may simply not have been taught in a way that works for them. As a tutor, I hope to help students build confidence, develop genuine interest in their studies, and realise their potential in the same way that I did.

Like many students, I am naturally inquisitive and enjoy understanding not just how something works, but why it works. Through my studies and professional experience, I have come to appreciate that different students learn in different ways, and that a single explanation does not work for everyone. I encourage students to ask questions and actively engage with the material. I firmly believe that there is no such thing as a stupid question; asking questions is one of the most effective ways to learn and build confidence. My aim is to create an environment where students feel comfortable exploring ideas, making mistakes, and developing their understanding without fear of judgement. I believe that every student has the capacity to succeed when they are given the right support and taught in a way that suits their learning style. As someone who genuinely enjoys learning, I find great satisfaction in helping others develop their knowledge, confidence, and enthusiasm for a subject.
