About Michelle Joy
I am a friendly professional who has successfully aided hundreds and maybe thousands of students. I will be very friendly but maintain a professional manner, as I have done for 11+ years. I love helping others learn more! I work on encouraging critical thinking so that students can do what we've learned on their own when needed in the future. I enjoy learning new things and meeting new people! I love reading and hearing new stories and would be thrilled to help with creative writing assignments or tasks! I can assist with citation issues in mainly MLA and ALA but I can also work and learn more with the students on other citation methods. I cannot wait to jump into things with you and help you find the answers you need!

I tailor my lessons to what each student needs. I can do verbal teaching as well as visual teaching.
Typical lesson plan:
-Discuss topics or assignments that the student needs assistance with.
-Teach research skills as we look for information that will aid us.
-Assist with taking the information we found and utilizing it to complete any assignments or other things the student needs.
I have an English and Creative Writing undergraduate degree, a master's degree in Library and Information Sciences, 11+ years of assisting students with research, plus my love of creative writing. Also when on a video call with me you are bound to see at least 1 cat :)
Willing to do lessons for Middle School, High School, and Undergraduates. Classes that I best fit for aid are English, Creative Writing, Research Methods, Information Literacy, and other similar classes
