About Chase
My name is Chase and I am a San Diego native. I am one of nine children and have had much experience tutoring and being tutored by others.
I am a dedicated and patient English tutor who is passionate about helping students become confident readers, writers, and communicators. I believe that every student has the ability to succeed when they are given clear instruction, encouragement, and the opportunity to learn at their own pace.
My goal is not simply to help students complete an assignment, but to help them understand the skills behind it so they can become more independent learners. I take time to listen to each student's needs, explain concepts clearly, and create lessons that are both productive and encouraging.
Whether a student needs additional support with grammar, writing, reading comprehension, vocabulary, or an English class, I strive to create a comfortable environment where questions are welcomed and progress is celebrated. I bring patience, preparation, and genuine care to every lesson, and I want each student to leave feeling more capable and confident than when they started.

My approach to tutoring English is centered on making learning clear, practical, and encouraging. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions and are given the opportunity to practice what they are learning. I adapt my teaching style to each student's needs, whether they need help with grammar, reading comprehension, writing, vocabulary, or overall communication skills.
A typical lesson begins by identifying the student's goals and reviewing any areas where they are struggling. We then work through the material together, breaking difficult concepts into simple, manageable steps. I use examples, guided practice, discussion, and writing exercises to help students understand the material rather than simply memorize answers. Each lesson ends with a review of what we learned and a clear understanding of what the student can continue practicing.
What sets me apart is my patience and commitment to meeting students where they are. I want students to leave each lesson feeling more confident than when they arrived. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, I adjust lessons according to the student's learning style, strengths, and areas for improvement.
My lessons are designed primarily for middle school and high school students who want to strengthen their English skills, improve their writing and reading comprehension, or receive additional support with English classes and assignments. I also welcome students who simply want to become stronger and more confident communicators.
