About Taylor
For my undergraduate career, I went to school with the intention of attending medical school afterwards. So, I completed the pre-medical track and earned two Bachelors degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology, as well as Psychology. I graduated with a 3.8 GPA.
I was accepted to medical school, but ultimately decided that I could not ignore my love of learning and decided to become a teacher instead. I completed graduate school with a 4.0 GPA and a Masters in Teaching. My certification is for Biology grades 8-12.
I strive everyday to pass on my love of learning to my students and show them the fun side of science.

My background is in molecular and cellular biology with an emphasis in pre-med. Lessons available for any level science (primary or secondary). I currently teach (honors and general) environmental science, biology, earth/space science, and forensics to high school aged students. I can assist with any FRQs or short responses for science.
My teaching method is to have my students provide me with topics that they struggle with; starting with the most difficult to least difficult. I then plan a lesson around reviewing the troubled concepts and help make connections to real-world scenarios to make the information more understandable. I help my students review information for exams, create deeper understanding of concepts, and provide assistance with assignment.
If needing help with assignments, I will explain the background information to help you make connections and understand the material for current and future content matter. If it is an assignment you need help with, especially projects, please provide me with the rubric so I can get a better idea on what we need to do to help you succeed.
