About Rifna

I have worked in a government body for the last 17 years as an English teacher cum a tutor for an institute. I maintain good rapport with my students and also I am a good listener who can be by the side of the learner to help in providing learner support. I have completed my bachelor's degree in English and TESOL. In addition, I have completed my Level 7 PGCE in Educational Management and Leadership Qualities. I possess good command of English obtaining band 8 for speaking in IELTS. My continuous experience in the teaching process would help me to identify the problem in the particular area for my students by maintaining good eye contact with them as an efficient teacher. A teacher plays a vital role in the school and in the cognitive development of the child by guiding them in a proper way. Considering the above fact I work hard for the cognitive development of my students. Proper time management and better lesson planning help me achieve the target at the end of my lesson to be successful. Continuous assessment and feedback help the pupil go further in their level. I do continuous assessment for the students to make them understand where they are in the subject matter. Furthermore, I use numerous pedagogies to rectify the encountered problems in their feedback. The additional activities are normally planned from simple to complex. Normally my methods totally focus on the level and the interest of the learner. Some students like to study with small games to make them understand very easily and quickly. For them I use play method and for others I use learner-centred method of teaching.

About the lesson

I am a Graduate of English and TESOL possessing 17 years of teaching experience as a teacher and tutor. I use numerous techniques to do the lesson successfully. My techniques include discussion, overall explanation, drilling, questioning and answering. My lesson normally takes one hour and within the given time I do assessment also.
