About Mary
I am fun and have a sense of humor but on a more serious note, I did receive a bachelor’s degree in environmental science and a horticulture certification. I graduated from both programs with a 3.6. I also have been a volunteer teachers aid at my daughter’s schools throughout the years as well as a nature camp counselor at three different camps.
I know my stuff and will help you understand, appreciate, and be passionate about the science behind our natural world.

When I hear someone try to teach or explain something, I always feel that they’re leaving out steps to compete the thought. It’s not explained completely and logical steps are missing. When I explain or teach things I don’t assume that the person knows what I know (unless it’s been established) and I certainly don’t ever make them feel unintelligent for not knowing something. I love teaching people things that I am super interested in, such as science. I am super passionate about environmental science and geology and especially horticulture…pretty much anything in the natural science arena. I even worked in Yosemite National Park. I love this area of science so much that you won’t even feel like you’re being tutored. It'll be like we’re having a conversation about something I’m so excited about that it’ll rub off on you!
