About SALLY
I’ve always loved teaching and mentoring students, and tutoring has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I started helping others learn when I was still in elementary school, and that passion continued throughout middle school, high school, college, and now graduate school. I am confident that with every session, my student gains a new skill that will positively impact them permanently in their academic and personal endeavors.
Over the years, I’ve taught in many different settings—not only academically, but also through activities like taekwondo, violin, and tennis. Working with students in these different environments taught me how to adapt my teaching style to different ages, personalities, and learning styles. Whether someone learns best through step-by-step guidance, visual explanations, or practice and repetition, I enjoy finding the approach that helps concepts click for them.
I’m currently a graduate student in dental school, but my love for teaching has never changed. Even with a demanding academic schedule, I continue tutoring because I genuinely enjoy helping students build confidence, master difficult concepts, and achieve their academic goals.

I design individualized lesson plans that align with state academic standards, AP curriculum frameworks, and college-level learning objectives. Each lesson begins with a diagnostic assessment to identify knowledge gaps and how I can grow a student in intelligence and confidence. From there, I structure sessions to include concept review, guided problem-solving, and independent application to reinforce mastery.
My tutoring approach emphasizes critical thinking and conceptual understanding rather than memorization. As a current student myself, I believe it is crucial to integrate practice problems, exam-style questions, and real-world examples to ensure students can apply concepts across contexts.
Because I work with students ranging from elementary levels through AP courses and college/graduate school preparation, I adapt the pacing, depth, and instructional strategies to the student’s academic level and learning style. For advanced students, this includes AP exam preparation, college-level coursework support, and structured study strategies for standardized and graduate admissions exams.
Each lesson concludes with targeted feedback and a short learning plan to reinforce concepts between sessions. My goal is not only to help students complete assignments but to build long-term academic skills and confidence in the subject.
