About Desiree
What inspired me to begin my career as a chemist began in High School with my chemistry teacher Mrs. Brown. She always has a positive energy and believes in other students and me. I think one of the most significant ways to succeed in whatever career you desire is persistence. As someone who not only completed college with a Bachelor of Science, I am also in graduate school completing my Ph.D. in organic chemistry. I pride myself on my professionalism and relentlessly fight to achieve my goals. With the students I have tutored in the past, I like to encourage them and lift them up because things will not always come easy, but with the right mindset, I believe we can overcome those mental blocks.

As an organic chemist, I have gained a fundamental understanding of concepts I have seen many students struggle to grasp. My tutoring sessions focus on teaching essential thinking to allow the student to attack future scientific problems. Most importantly I like to structure tutoring lessons around the specific needs of the students.
I offer to tutor for all levels of education but I am tailored toward college-level students.
