About Ailis
Hello! I’m Ailis Peterson, a dedicated tutor with a passion for science and education. I hold a Master of Science in Regenerative Medicine and a Bachelor’s in Genetics, providing me with a solid foundation in the life sciences. My academic journey has equipped me with a deep understanding of complex scientific concepts, which I love sharing with others.
In addition to my formal education, I have hands-on experience as a STEM teacher, where I designed and delivered engaging lessons to inspire students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Lesson Structure

This conversation helps me understand whether the material is easy, moderate, or challenging for them, allowing me to tailor my approach to best suit their needs.
What to Expect in Our Lessons:
1. Homework Assistance: I work collaboratively with students on their homework assignments, ensuring they understand the concepts and can apply them independently.
2. Targeted Learning Goals: Together, we will identify specific areas of focus based on the child's curriculum, including:
- Key concepts and topics they need to master.
- Specific problems or documents that require attention.
3. Interactive Problem-Solving: I believe in the power of breaking down complex problems. During our sessions, I will guide the student through a few representative problems, explaining each step in detail. I emphasize writing down solutions on paper, allowing them to revisit their thought process and understand the methodology behind each solution.
4. Independent Practice: Once the student has grasped the concepts, we will transition to “Test” problems. These are designed for them to attempt on their own, reinforcing their understanding and building confidence in their abilities.
