About Greta

As a naturally curious person with a deep love for knowledge, I’m passionate about reading — both fiction and non-fiction — writing, and learning new things. I thrive on meeting new people and hearing their stories, as well as exploring photography, art exhibitions, and learning from nature. My love for travel, food and art and learning about new places and people is reflected in my experiences living in many different countries, including Canada, Australia, Argentina, Italy, Lithuania, the UK, and Belgium — some for a few months, others for years! These experiences help me connect with students from diverse backgrounds and create engaging, personalised lessons.

I also bring academic experience having graduated with an MSc degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science and my subsequent career working in education and mental health organisations in the UK, where I worked with children, supporting their academic progress and well-being in various settings.

Working with children and young people has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’m dedicated to helping students reach their academic and personal potential by building confidence and nurturing their unique skills. I believe in adapting lessons to fit each student’s individual interests, which encourages them to grow not only academically but also personally.

With extensive experience in both teaching and supporting students, my focus is always on fostering a positive, supportive learning environment where each student feels valued, confident, and capable of reaching their goals.

About the lesson

I believe in a student-led approach, where lessons are tailored to each individual’s needs, interests, and abilities. I love getting creative with my teaching — whether it’s tackling an essay or exploring new ideas in a fun way! With a BA in Politics & Sociology from McGill University in Canada and an MSc in Human Rights from the London School of Economics, I bring a solid foundation in reading, writing, critical thinking, and analysis to the table. I’ve taught everyone from 5-year-olds to adults in Argentina and Italy, and even worked as an editor and proofreader at an English language center. My lessons usually last an hour, but I’m all about flexibility, adjusting based on what works best for you. My aim is to make learning both enjoyable and meaningful, helping students gain confidence while mastering their academic and language skills.
