About Anisha
I like to believe that nothing is impossible in my classroom time, we can achieve anything. I was once a student who needed extra tutoring and was totally against it, however when I agreed to it, it was the best thing I had ever done. The rewards after the hard work made me feel great and I just want to be able to pass on the feeling.
I have been tutoring for many years, and someone who is also young and tutored students that are not many years younger than me,I have found a positive response as student found it more relatable and easier to approach with questions. This has helped massively with their confidence in general and in turn had a positive effect on their learning.

Lessons are around 45 minutes as it is important to focus on the topic but not have a lengthy lesson where concentration can quickly deplete. This is typically for KS3 and GCSE level science or maths lessons however, if tutoring Applied Science then longer tutoring lessons can be useful.
The aim is to focus on a really small aspect of the curriculum (according to the weak points of the personal learner) and create a deep understanding to that topic. I work on unpicking the best method to make the learner feel most comfortable in the pathway of learning that they would like to take in that specific topic. Science is supposed to be fun so tutoring lessons have to be as well! We will find a way to incorporate some practical components even when the lessons are online, just to help with the understanding.
Increasing the confidence in doing the daunting aspects of learning like exam questions and papers is really important as I have found that most students are amazing with their knowledge but struggle to apply this to get the grades and this will only improve with practice! so we will have lots of practice together!
