About Robert
Hi! My name is Rob, and I am a recent graduate of Russian and Italian from Durham University. I have worked and studied in Italy, and regularly spend time there in order to hone my knowledge and application of the Italian language and Italian culture.
I take a keen interest in vocabulary acquisition theory and methods, and continue to study Second Language Acquisition (SLA) theories outside of academia. This allows me to offer a dynamic and adaptive approach to your language-learning, which may ensure a sound and proficient knowledge of Italian.
I teach Italian to those who want to pass their GCSE/IGCSE/A level exams, to those who are going on holiday to Italy, and to those who just want to appreciate the beautiful Italian language.

Firstly I discuss with the student their current level of Italian, as well as their motivation (exams, holidays inter alia) and which learning style may suit them. Following from this I will employ a variety of methods, such as comprehensible input, taxonomies, and visual association, to expand and consolidate the student's knowledge of the Italian language.
I am a recent graduate in Italian, and have worked and studied in Italy. I have researched widely theories in vocabulary acquisition and Second Language Acquisition, which I believe will be of great help to a student wishing to improve their Italian. I teach mainly to GCSE and A Level standards, but am also able to supplement Italian courses taught at undergraduate level.
Each lesson will last 45 minutes.
