I've been a tutor for 25 years now, and the thing I love most about it is that my students and I are always learning together! What I've learned, most of all, is that if we never stop innovating, finding new and better approaches to learning, combining these new ideas with the tried and true methods, we can continue to grow as long as we are willing to put in the effort!

My teaching methods are 100% tailored to the student's learning and communication style. If you have a set learning style (visual, written, tactile, etc) that's great; but let's be honest, for most of us it depends on the subject matter along with many other factors, including sometimes the weather and what kind of mood we're in! As a tutor, I strive to adapt to what my students' needs are at the time, rather than following only one method. For that matter, sometimes all it takes is to see a subject through more than one approach, and it starts to make perfect sense! That's the moment I try to create for my students: the light-bulb moment, the "oh, is it really that easy?" It sounds like magic, but we've all experienced it. With the right approach, learning can be like that more often than you might think!
