About Imogen
I am a fourth year medical student at St George’s University of London. I graduated with first class honours in Biomedical Sciences. I love working with young people; I’ve worked for NCS in the past on their summer programmes and I’m a clinical skills tutor at my university.

My teaching method is focussed on the particular student, how they learn and what their goals are. Importantly for each topic I focus on the Student’s existing knowledge and skills, strengths and areas for improvement using baseline assessment. From this I can individualise my lessons so that the students get the most out of each session. Engaging the students in the learning is so important, so I like to include problems and questions throughout my teaching. Each lesson starts with learning objectives, then I teach the material (In different ways depending on the students - visual aids/ discussing etc) and at the end we try questions based on that material. Finally I like to reflect and ask the student how they found it and what they learnt. If they didn’t like certain areas or suggest improvements I can then change the sessions appropriately. Finally throughout my teaching one of my main foci is to build their confidence as learners, and give them tactics to improve their studying at home/school.
