About Connor
I love working with others, and have always been told throughout my educational career that I am good at breaking things down and explaining them in bitesize chunks that are sometimes easier to understand when presented in a certain way. I tutored GCSE Maths during my time in college, and really enjoyed it.
I have taken a break from Mathematics and Computing for a little while now, to become an Actor, working in the Theatre industry. However, I am looking for other work when not acting, and I really miss exercising my brain as a mathematician, and thought this would be the perfect way to enjoy maths again! I would be thrilled to help you on your mathematical journey!

Mathematics is a language, and I believe that if students are taught to better understand the basics of that language, they are much more likely to be able to adapt and apply their knowledge to any problem or question put in front of them. My teaching is about going back to basics, and breaking down key concepts into bite size chunks, and once those are understood, piecing them back together again.
I like to teach using key examples, ensuring topics are understood in their entirety; then these examples can be applied as we work through questions/problems together.
I am happy to adapt to how students like to work too, whether they prefer interactive sessions, or more presentational sessions, and whether they like to work on problems during sessions, or work during their own time, and review afterwards.
Lessons are 1 hour, but this is flexible depending on requirement.
Available to teach from Year 7 up to Year 13.
Graduate of Mathematics from Royal Holloway University of London, with experience in Pure Mathematics, Statistics and Probability, Programming and Computing. Studied Computer Science, Physics and Music at A-Level.
